S12SN6RE Banner Proximity Sensors

Banner Engineering S12SN6RE is a photo-electric sensor designed as part of the S12 series, featuring a through-beam system or opposed mode operation. This sensor comprises an emitter and receiver pair housed in a thermoplastic body with a polycarbonate lens and a polyurethane end cap. It is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads for connection. The S12SN6RE operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees Celsius. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and NEMA 6P, ensuring durability in various environmental conditions. The sensor's shape is an M12 cylindrical threaded/barrel, and it features a single digital output (NPN transistor; complementary NO/NC). With a sensing distance of 15m and a visible red light color for easy alignment, the S12SN6RE has a quick response time of 3ms for turning on and 1.5ms for turning off.
