SM2A31RQD Description
Banner Engineering SM2A31RQD is a photo-electric sensor designed for through-beam system applications with opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor, part of the SM2A312 series, features a thermoplastic housing and an acrylic lens. It comes pre-equipped with a 3-pin 1/2" micro connector for connectivity. The sensor operates on a supply voltage ranging from 24Vac to 240Vac, with nominal voltages at 200Vac and 220Vac, and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. It is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. The SM2A31RQD offers a high degree of protection, rated at IP67 and compliant with multiple NEMA standards, including 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13. Its rectangular shape incorporates 1 x digital output (Solid-state AC output; SPST contact type) and has a sensing distance of 300mm. The sensor utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 880 nm and boasts a quick response time of 2ms / 0.002 s. It supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
