PULS QT40.241 is a power supply unit designed for AC/DC conversion with a 50% power reserve. It supports DIN rail mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +70°C. This unit features a DC-OK relay contact output and offers rated currents of 40A at 24Vdc and 34.3A at 28Vdc, with a power derating from 24W at +60°C to +70°C. Connection is facilitated through screw-clamp connections. The supply voltage accommodates a wide range of AC inputs from 323Vac to 576Vac, including nominal values of 380Vac, 400Vac, 415Vac, 440Vac, 480Vac, 500Vac, and 525Vac at 47-63Hz, with a 3-phase input. It has a turn-ON voltage of 3 x 305Vac and a shutdown voltage of 3 x 275Vac in steady-state conditions. The QT40.241, part of the Q-series, measures 110mm in width, 124mm in height, and 127mm in depth, and is housed in aluminium. It is designed for a 3-phase network, with a net width of 110mm. The rated power is 960W at both 24Vdc and 28Vdc, with a short-term capacity of 1440W for up to 4 seconds. The output voltage is adjustable between 24Vdc and 28Vdc, with a turn-ON overshoot of 500mV. Protection functions include output overvoltage protection, active input inrush current limiting, and overload/short-circuit protection. It supports series or parallel operation for increased output power and is resistant to back-feeding loads up to 35V. The efficiency rates are 0.952 and 0.953 for 3x480Vac and 3x400Vac inputs, respectively. Peak inrush current consumption is 6A for both 3x400Vac and 3x480Vac inputs. The start-up delay ranges from 500 to 600 seconds, with rise times of 35ms and 40ms under nominal input conditions. The hold time is 25ms for both 3x480Vac and 3x400Vac inputs. Power dissipation losses are 48.4W and 47.3W for 3x480Vac and 3x400Vac inputs, respectively, at full output load. Electrical durability varies with temperature and load conditions, offering up to 322,000 hours of operation at 25°C and 20A output under 3AC 400Vac input. The ripple is 100mVpp across a 20Hz to 20MHz range, with an output stage capacitance of 10200µF.
