Festo SDBT-MSX-1L-NU-E-0.3-N-M8 is a magnetic Hall proximity/position binary sensor designed for automatic teach-in/programmable applications, suitable for energy chains and robot applications. This sensor is constructed from nickel-plated brass, reinforced PA, and high-alloy stainless steel housing, with a TPE-U/PUR cable. It features a pre-wired 30cm pigtail terminated with a 3-pin M8 A-coded male connector (screw-type lock). The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and can be mounted using a screw-type mount. It is designed to work within an ambient air temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and offers a degree of protection of IP68. The sensor has a black housing and a gray cable, with a T-slot shape. It provides 1 x digital output (switchable NPN; 100mA) and has a maximum output switching frequency of 200Hz. The sensor includes protection functions against short-circuit, overload, and reverse polarity for all electrical connections. Its response time for switching from OFF to ON and vice versa is 2ms / 0.002 s, with an operating mode that is switchable (NO/NC) and can accommodate a maximum travel speed of 3m/s.
