VS8EAPRQ Description

Banner Engineering VS8EAPRQ is a photo-electric sensor designed with a thermoplastic housing and a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens, featuring a polyurethane (PUR) cable for connectivity. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for operation in environments with ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +60 °C. It operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes and includes a single digital output (PNP transistor) with a rapid response time of 0.5ms / 0.0005 s. The VS8EAPRQ is equipped with a pre-wired 7.5" / 20cm pigtail that terminates with a 4-pin Pico-style M8 connector, ensuring easy installation. Its rectangular shape and visible red light, with a wavelength of 650 nm, are designed for through-beam system applications in the opposed mode TEACH mode. This sensor supports a supply voltage range of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and is capable of sensing distances up to 3m. It is part of the VS8 series, specifically functioning as a photo-electric sensor (receiver alone).
